Kate Spade has always been one of those brands that is really good at doing the whole “selling-of-lifestyle-via-pricey-purse” thing. First, in seventh grade we all got black boxy purses for Christmanukkah, carefuly wearing them label side OUT. Then, Kate started in on the poppy, sixties, wonderful ad campaigns and, let’s face it, we’ve been sold ever since.

Good news for you and me: Kate et al. are finally going to stop teasing the masses and give in to their huge world-conquering brand potential with the addition of a clothing line for women. The line is going to debut spring of next year in Kate Spade stores and eventually branch out into a full wholesale venture. So get ready for great stripe-y, kelly-green and yellow confections!

i feel like the bottom left picture is something that every generic fashion spread uses. Some hot girls hitching a ride on the side of the road. The clothes are nice but I dont understand why Kate Spade would take a photo that could also run in a levi’s or american eagle ad. David Spade is totally the better Spade
